  • Labrador Ventures joined an $5M financing of existing portfolio company MeeVee led by JPMorgan Bay area fund.
  • ShotSpotter was chosen by AlwaysOn as one of the Top 100 Private Company award winners.  ShotSpotter was handpicked by the AlwaysOn editorial panel based on a set of five criteria - technology innovation, market potential, customer adoption, media buzz and investor value creation.
  • Pandora Media closed a Series D round of financing led by new investor, King Street Capital.  Hearst Corporation, JP Morgan Bay Area Fund, Piper Jaffray and all existing investors participated in the July financing.  The funds will be used for the continued growth and development of Pandora.
  • Labrador Ventures participated in Jangl's $7 million Series B financing led by Cardinal Venture Capital. Storm Ventures also participated in the financing.

June 2006

  • Labrador's Sean Foote participated on a panel titled: The Changing Face of Early Stage Investing at IBF's 17th Annual Venture Capital Investing Conference that was held on June 7-9 in San Francisco.  Foote also serves on IBF's Advisory Board.

  • Experclick exhibited at Ad Tech SF at the Moscone Center, booth No. 5576 on April 26-28.
  • Labrador Ventures invested in ShotSpotter as part of a $9.4 million financing. The Band of Angels, Claremont Creek Ventures, City Light Capital and Lauder Partners also participated in the financing.  The company develops gunshot-location systems and technology for the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the National Law Enforcement and Corrections Technology Center, the U.S. Attorney's office, and other state and municipal governments. 
  • Sentinel Vision's SafeScout was featured in Gizmodo, the gadgets Weblog, on April 11.
  • Labrador Ventures invested in Before The Call as part of a $2.5 million Series A financing.  This new financing will enable the company to bolster sales and marketing efforts, and to support the expansion of its products to a wider group of CRM vendors.
  • Aperto Networks announced on April 10 that it completed a Series E follow-on financing round of $26 million, bringing the company's total capitalization to $120 million. The financing round was led by GunnAllen Venture Partners with participation from existing investors including JK&B Capital, Canaan Partners, Alliance Ventures, Innovacom, JAFCO, and Labrador Ventures. The funds will be used for WiMAX product deployments by carriers globally and next generation product development.
